S R Samuel, an IPS officer (1999 Batch) of the J&K cadre has passed away on 16TH March 2018, he was born in 1973. Samuel was presently on a deputation to Government of India as Joint Development Commissioner MSME, passed away after he suffered a massive cardiac arrest at New Delhi. Samuel had served various important posts which include SDPO Chrar-i-Sharief, ASP Jammu, AD SKPA Udhampur, SSP Leh and CO IRP 13th Bn. He was born and brought- up in Maduarai , Tamilnadu. He fought for the upliftment of Yadav community in the vicinity of Maduarai. The Yadav community in maduarai district were very much involved in the dairy farm, but he tried a lot to spread awareness among the community for education. In Delhi he was highly active to bring the weaker section into the socio-economic mainstream. He was very much popular among his batch mates and his native district. During the posting of Jammu, he was faced many terrorist activities, but he was very brave to counter any such incident. He was always ready to sacrifice his life for the countries. A condolence meeting was called by Governor N.N.Bohra and Chief Minister Mufti on his demise. He has left a five-year-old son. He was the success as a Civil Servant for his assignment and duty.
